Money and Wealth
Economics affects almost every aspect of our lives, yet the subject is often poorly understood. From free trade and markets to supply and demand to the role of government, students (and their parents) frequently are misinformed or uninformed. Money and Wealth demystifies economics by providing a ten lesson comprehensive overview of economics in a way that is highly accessible for high schoolers and young adults. Intended to be used in a homeschool setting, the textbook containes readings, self-paced questions, quizzes for checking understanding, and engaging homework projects that encourage students to explore various economic topics more deeply. To make the concepts even more accessible, each lesson is introduced with a story about a typical homeschool family, the Connors, so that learners can relate economic concepts to their everyday lives.
Each lesson also contains a practical “Growing Your Own Business” section, guiding a young person into how to think about starting and building their first business.
Money and Wealth is unabashedly Christian in its approach to economics. Each lesson contains one or more discussions of the “theology of economics,” relating the subject of each lesson to Biblical principles from both the Old and New Testaments.
